On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, an open lecture on free legal assistance and free citizen advisory services in the Płock, Gostynin, and Sierpc counties took place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences, organized by the Department of Political Science and Security at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Mazovian Academy in Płock in cooperation with the Mazovia Together Association. The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Paweł Kaczmarczyk, ceremoniously opened the event.
Many important issues related to the system and principles of free legal assistance and free citizen advisory services were addressed. Representatives from the Płock, Sierpc, and Gostynin counties also discussed the functioning of this system in their respective regions. After the presentations by the speakers, Dr. Bogdan Guziński, Head of the Department of Security Sciences, led a discussion about the program and mechanisms that enable access to legal assistance for entities unable to bear the costs of paid legal aid. Participants in the discussion included, among others, Deputy County Governor of Płock County – Iwona Sierocka, Coordinator of Non-Governmental Organizations and Public Benefit Organizations in Gostynin County – Kamil Życiński (an Economics student), and County Governor of Sierpc – Andrzej Cześnik.”
