The Collegium Medicum team also met with representatives of the Ministry of Health of Iraqi Kurdistan and the director of the Department of Health Protection (the equivalent of the Polish National Health Fund). During the meetings, information was exchanged regarding the differences and similarities between the Polish and Iraqi healthcare systems, the structure of healthcare services, their accessibility, and financing principles. The system of undergraduate and postgraduate education for doctors, nurses, and midwives, as well as the medical staff in hospitals, was also an interesting topic. Physiotherapy and geriatrics are areas relatively unknown to Iraqis. The Płock team also visited a pediatric hospital and a maternity-gynecological hospital. The start of scientific research between Collegium Medicum of the Mazovian Academy in Płock and the University of Raparin was also established.
