About Us

The Mazovian University in Płock is the university of applied sciences, so it gives the students the opportunity to gain thorough specialist knowledge and enhance their practical skills in the field of chosen professions during studies. We are a university responding to the realities and needs of today’s world, and thus closely related to the labour market. We place great emphasis on equipping students with practical professional skills and knowledge, which will constitute a solid foundation during their careers. We attach importance to the development of soft skills realizing that they are largely responsible for success.

The process of teaching at The Mazovian University in Płock aims at one concept – our graduates being able to take up a job as part of their profession at the time of graduation. Without worrying whether they will manage and without disappointment that there is a discrepancy between what they were taught at school and what their employer expects.

We are a university of long tradition. Our research and teaching staff are the best specialists in their fields, often combining scientific activity with professional practice. Our graduates are high-class specialists, successful both in Poland and abroad. Many companies and institutions perceive us as a forge of the most valuable personnel.

The offer of Mazovian University in Płock encompasses the first and second degree studies and uniform master’s studies, a wide range of postgraduate studies and specialist courses. 1st and 2nd degree studies and uniform master’s studies are held in three faculties. Those are:

• Faculty of Humanities, Social and Information Technology Sciences
• Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics
• Collegium Medicum:
  • Faculty of Health Sciences
  • Faculty of Medicine

The activities of the departments are supplemented by the following units:

• Study of Practical Foreign Language Learning – which conducts the study of English, German and Russian to students in all fields of study
• Physical Education and Sports Study – which offers access to a sports hall, a fitness room, a gym as well as recreational and sports facilities

One of the pillars of the University is its scientific and research activities. It focuses on the Scientific Publishing House which publishes the results of scientific research of the University employees and scientists from other centres. The thematic scope of the Publishing House includes social, humanities, medical and health sciences. Monographic works, collective studies and scientific journals are also published here as well as the „Yearbook of Płock Scientific Society”.

The Mazovian Scientific Publishing House in Płock not only contributes to Polish science, but also provides development opportunities for our staff, which in consequence contributes to increasing the quality of education.

The library is a great asset of Mazovian University in Płock being a well-stocked and modernly organized library. The collection of more than 48 thousand items includes book publications, magazines and brochures, as well as various multimedia publications. The collection is profiled in terms of the fields of education offered by the University and includes books on pedagogy, psychology, philosophy, social sciences, mathematics, computer science, nursing and cosmetology. Philologists will find here a rich selection of literature works in English, German and Russian. The library subscribes to over 80 magazine titles, including 11 foreign language titles.
