Partners from the Middle East

We are starting cooperation with Universities from Iraqi Kurdistan.

Establishing international cooperation between Mazovian Public University and Iraqi Kurdistan was the main goal of the visit of our University’s delegation in Iraq.

Rector prof. dr hab. med. Maciej Słodki met rectors of five Universities: the University of Raparin in Ranya, the University of Sulaimani, Soran University, the University of Halabja, and Erbil Polytechnic University. During the meeting the issues regarding this cooperation, which is mostly based on international exchange as part of the Erasmus+ program. This program allows cooperation between partner Universities from the Middle East.

University’s delegation was invited to Kurdistan along with the delegation of the city of Płock. Kurdistan is an autonomous administrative unit, a federal subject of Iraq. Besides meetings in Universities, the delegation had a chance to learn about the history and culture of this region. Kurdistan turned out to be a very interesting, friendly, and safe place.
