Our University hosted the first Scientific Symposium “Finance and Accounting – challenges of XXI century’s economy”.
The Premiere edition of the symposium was opened by Prof. dr hab. MD. Maciej Słodki – Rector of Mazovian Public University in Płock, which was a nominal host of the event organized in an online form.
“The initiative of combating forces of three vocational Universities, which decided to unify their scientific-research potential. Dynamically changing reality is a challenge for economists and financiers. I mean the changes caused by the pandemic and war in Ukraine. The things happening in Ukraine to an even greater extent determine financial behaviors in Poland and the world. I am convinced that you will have to remold some matters because of the imposition of economic sanction” said Rector Maciej Słodki.
Issues of the symposium regard current issues related to the theory and practic of accounting, and challenges and trends in modern finance. The purpose of the symposium was to create the possibility to exchange opinions and present results of the research related to challenges and changes in modern finance and accounting, which have a significant impact on processes occurring in the economy.
During the event, speakers have raised thematic issues such as:
Management of corporates’ finances, including social businesses;
Finance and accounting, including in non-governmental organizations;
The role of ethics in the management of finance of self-government;
Accounting of companies and creative accounting;
New trends in public finances and non-governmental organizations;
Symposium was organized by: Mazovian Public University in Płock, Vocational Public University in Włocławek, and University of Applied Sciences in Konin.
