Sports achievements and plans for the future

Academic Sports Team

Last Thursday, an organizational meeting regarding the new leadership of the Academic Sports Team was held. Not only election of the management was discussed, but also discussed opening section in the upcoming academic year 2022/2023.

As a result of the voting, the new management of the Academic Sports Team of Mazovian Public University in Płock was appointed.

Chairman – MSc Ewelina Jodłowska-Niemiec – manager of the Department of Physical Education and Sports

Vice Chairman – MSc Sebastian Dymek – manager of the Department of Promotion and Cooperation

Treasurer – Andżelika Gajewska – the first year of economic studies

Secretary – Kacper Kosiński – second year of internal security studies

Management member – Adam Bereszczyński – second year of internal security studies

After analyzing the possibilities, the following sections were appointed: football, volleyball, and athletics. The Academic Sports Team’s management invites all of the students, who in the past practiced other sports or want to develop in new fields to contact them. We are open to all ideas!

Mazovian Academy of Runners

Runners of Mazovian Academy for Runners can boast of their first success. On Saturday, four of our students participated in the 9th Płock Fast Three at City Stadium. Participants started individually in the 3000-meter distance run. At the end of the competition, the 4×400-meter relay race was held. Our team consisted:

1. changeover  – Kamil Życiński – economic studies, first year (second-cycle)
2. changeover  – Maja Jaworska – nursing studies, first year
3. changeover  – Konrad Bienias – philology (graduate)
4. changeover  – Katarzyna Zawadzka – midwifery studies, second year

finished in second place in the mixed category (two women and two men), with a time of 5 minutes and 23 seconds.

Mazovian Academy of Runners is co-financed by the Ministry of Education and Science, under the „Social Responsibility of Science” program.
