From Marcin Ehrlich to Maciej Słodki

Tomorrow there will be a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Płock Medical Society.

The event is organized by the Board of Directors of the Płock Medical Society. Meanwhile, the Mazovian Academy in Płock has been given the honor of being a partner of the celebration.

The event will consist of several parts.  It will begin with the laying of flowers by the PTL Board on the graves of M. Ehrlich and A. Maciesza, the most distinguished presidents in the history of the Society. At noon at the Marsz. Stanisław Małachowski Historical and Scientific Session will begin.  During the Jubilee Session, Dr. Czeslaw Hajduk will be honored with the Bene Meritus badge. Statues of Płock Hippocrates will also be presented.  At 3 pm there will be an opening of the exhibition „History of the Płock Medical Society in the archives of the Płock Scientific Society”. The opening will be held at the headquarters of the Płock Scientific Society at 8 Narutowicza Square, while at 6 p.m. a concert by Marcin Wyrostek Coloriage with the Witold Lutosławski Płock Symphony Orchestra will be held in the Concert Hall of the State Music School in Płock.

The anniversary celebrations are always an opportunity to remember the founders and the most distinguished people over the 150 years of the Society’s existence. The rich program will foster substantive discussions, integration of our community and, above all, the challenge also facing the Society, which is the launch of medical education in Płock,” says Prof. Maciej Słodki, MD, president of the Płock Medical Society

Guests at the event will be: President of the Polish Medical Society Prof. Waldemar Kostewicz, MD, PhD; Marshal of the Province Adam Struzik; Mayor of the City of Płock Andrzej Nowakowski; Prof. Zbigniew Kruszewski, President of the Płock Scientific Society; and the Convention of Presidents of District Medical Councils in Poland.
