„Geniuses of 'light pen'”

The winners of the literary competition „Words Have Great Power” were awarded.

A ceremonial award ceremony for the laureates of the „Words Have Great Power” competition took place in the senate hall of the Mazovian Academy in Płock.

Gifts, including books and souvenirs and information materials from the Mazovian Academy in Płock, were presented by:

• Dr. hab. n. med. Maciej Słodki, the rector of the Mazovian Academy in Płock.
• Agnieszka Grażul-Luft, the president of the Płock branch of the Society for the Culture of Language, lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Computer Science, and the initiator of the competition.

Prof. Maciej Słodki was pleasantly surprised by the high level of interest the competition generated. Almost 40 works were submitted, and representatives of local media also attended the ceremony. „I would like to preserve the work of our laureates so that they and their parents have a souvenir for many years. We plan to publish a compilation that will include all the distinguished works,” said Prof. Maciej Słodki. „I invite everyone to participate in the next edition of the competition,” he added.

Dr. Agnieszka Grażul-Luft highlighted the very high level of the competition. „The commission read all the works with great pleasure and anticipation. They made a big impression on us, and choosing the laureates was truly difficult. The participants showed that words have great power, even the less obvious ones,” she said.

The organizers of the competition were the Płock branch of the Society for the Culture of Language and the Mazovian Academy in Płock, located at Plac Dąbrowskiego 2 in Płock.
