At October 10, 2023, government, senate, students, PhD students, workers and guests of the Mazovian Academy for twenty-fifth time solemnly inaugurated academic year.
Striving of Academy government to creating university, starting medical field and positive opinions of Polish Accreditation Comission regarding program evaluation of nursing and philology fields was main topic of celebration inaugurating academic year 2023/2024 in the Mazovian Academy in Płock:

Inauguration has started from showing the film summarizing last academic year, after which, banner were introduced and Senate of the Academy entered.
Future of this academy (…) future of this city – said prof. Maciej Słodki during opening of inauguration.
Year 2022/2023 was crucial. The history of the Mazovian Academy has started. Prof. Maciej Słodki summarizing last academic year, emphasized successes of students and teaching staff. He also added that, the dream of academic society and residents of Płock is creating a Mazovian University in Płock based on Academy.
Since this academic year, medical field is functioning, and academy can give doctor and habilitated doctor degrees in three scientific disciplines.
Only native academy of Płock becomes the place eagerly chosen by young people from all Poland. Proves it this year-recrutation in which students from such cities like: Bydgoszcz, Ciechanów, Częstochowa, Koszalin, Krosno, Łódź, Olsztyn, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Rzeszów, Toruń, Warsaw, Wrocław or Zielona Góra have chosen the Mazovian Academy in Płock to start studying.
Annually, we extend our educational offer. We have twenty study fields to offer. In next academic year, we plan to start law studies. Application is already prepared, it will be submitted soon. If everything will go according to the plan, we will recrute students to this field next year. Next field we are ready to apply for is automatics and robotics. Together with us this field be created by Budmat company – said rector Maciej Słodki.
After rector’s speech, there was time for invited guests to speak.
As first, Marshall Piotr Zgorzelski spoke up.
‘’Speaking up at last year-inauguration of academic year from this place I spoke about dreams. I spoke about dreams of outstanding Płock residents (…), so Płock and the region had its autonomic academy – spoke Marshall Zgorzelski.
I am very glad that the community of the Mazovian Academy is run by prof. Maciej Słodki. Thank you, professor, for calling me co-founder of the academy, through I would rather be its friend (…) I turned to Marshall of Senate with request for honoring the rector with highest decoration of senate.
Marshall Piotr Zgorzelski together with current parlamentarians gave the rector of the Mazovian Academy in Płock a senate medal.
The next, MPs Anna Cichońska and Elżbieta Gapińska had spoken, who congratulated and wished a good luck in new academic year 2023/2024.
Bishop of Płock Szymon Stułkowsko officially invited everyone to Płock Cathedral on Holy Mass that will be held on October 15, 2023 at 10 AM, during which standard of the Mazovian Academy in Płock will be consecrated. He emphasized the satisfaction from academy’s rights to awarding academic degrees.
I am very glad that there is also technical note and robotics in plans of the Mazovian Academy, because they are needed for the region and economy – Waldemar Pawlak said.
On behalf of Marshall of Mazovian Voivodeship, Adam Struzik, congratulations and wishes on the occasion of new academic year 2023/2024 were held by Anna Derlukiewicz, councilor of Płock City.
It is indeed exceptional event in the Mazovian Academy in Poland, but I do not hesitate to say that it is also in history of Płock. The dreams became reality, whereas, nothing was successful. This all was paid for with hard work and big engagement, starting from rector to all staff – said, during his speaking, the Mayor of Płock City, Andrzej Nowakowski.
The Mayor of Płock County, Sylwester Ziemkiewicz, congratulated all students the choice of school, among who, the majority are resident of County of Płock.
After speaking of rector, the matriculation was held, which is inclusion of students and PhD students into a group of academic community. Student and PhD students took the oath, after which they were knighted by Rector.
After matriculation the individual and group awards of Rector of Mazovian Academy in Płock were given.
Rector had given the awards to laureates of annual competition for best thesis. Tradionally, A.Nowakowski, the Mayor of Płock has given the awards to laureates of competition ‘’Diploma for Płock’’
For words of praise also deserved the members of Student Council who were working most actively in the past academic year. Special thanks received outgoing chairman of Student Government Council, Przemysław Wolski.
During the celebration also spoke up Wiktoria Jędrzewska, current chairwoman of Student Council of the Mazovian Academy, who encouraged first-year students to participate in academy initiatives.
The culmination of the event was inaugural lecture entitled ‘’Role of Mentor in Medicine’’ delivered by PhD doctor of medical sciencies Adam Dziki. Professor presented i.a challenges of mentor in modern world. He emphasized the importance of role of the guide in every stage of human life i.a building self-esteem and shaping pro-social traits in medicine.
