Great news! The Presidium of the Polish Accreditation Committee has issued a positive opinion on the launch of a unified Master’s degree in psychology.
„I am studying psychology in Płock!” is what forty students at the Mazovian Public University in Płock will be able to proudly say ( this year).
“The psychology studies at the level of a unified Master’s degree with a practical profile is related to the university’s strategy and the conditions for its implementation have been met – we read in the justification of the decision of the Polish Accreditation Committee. Only one, final step remains to start the recruitment for psychology – permission of the Minister of Education and Science.

The purpose of education in psychology is to equip students with knowledge, skills, and social competencies that allow them to perform the psychologist’s profession in a professional and responsible way, while constructively and autonomously shaping their own biography and personality.
The study program includes 960 hours of didactic work placement.
From the sixth semester, future psychologists will be able to choose their own path of development and choose one of two specializations:
educational and pedagogical psychology – It gives qualifications to work as a psychologist teacher. The graduate will be prepared to work as a psychologist with particular emphasis on working in: nurseries, schools, care and educational facilities, psychological and pedagogical counseling centers, support associations, prevention and psychoeducation centers, cultural institutions and environmental community centers.
psychoprophylaxisand psychological counseling – Graduates will be able to provide support to individuals experiencing developmental crises and life difficulties by providing advice and assistance based on the analysis of the client’s expectations and capabilities, improving their quality of life in the personal, health and professional areas. The psychology graduate will be prepared to work as a psychologist with particular emphasis on working in: support institutions, counseling and advisory centers, psychological clinics, private psychological offices, prevention and psychoeducation centers, non-governmental organizations and foundations, support and self-help associations, in various types of institutions and companies.
