The convention of the Forum of professional universities of the PSRP is behind us

From November 3 to 6, 2022, the XXXVII Congress of the Forum of Professional Universities of the Parliament of Students of the Republic of Poland was held within the walls of our academy, during which the Student Government Council hosted students from 22 universities from all over Poland.

Friday’s proceedings were preceded by the official opening of the Convention, during which the participants were welcomed on behalf of the authorities of the Mazovian Academy in Płock by Pro-rector for Student Affairs and Didactics Dr. Andrzej Kansy – prof. of the university. The Vice-Rector talked about the history of the university and its development. On behalf of the organizers, the guests were welcomed by Przemysław Wolski – Chairman of the Student Government Council, and the convention was officially opened by Konrad Bajdak, Chairman of the Forum of Professional Universities.

During the fruitful deliberations, priority issues related to our industry committee were raised. Thanks to the support of PLOT – Płock Local Tourist Organization – our guests were able to see historic Płock, listening to the stories of guides. The walking tour of Płock started from the Mariavite Cathedral, through Tumskie Hill and the Old Market Square, ending at the Cathedral Basilica.

One of the highlights of the Convention were demonstrations at the Faculty of Health Sciences using the rich infrastructure of the Monoprofile Medical Simulation Center, during which Students of our University, with the support of lecturers, presented the guests with simulations of nursing work. The most interesting part of the tour of the Faculty was the presentation of the anatomy table, during which the participants of the Convention could see the various elements of the human body.

The culmination of Friday’s day was a workshop on image creation, which was conducted for our guests by the Head of the Promotion and Cooperation Department, Sebastian Dymek, MA. During the workshop, many practical and theoretical issues of creating the image of organizations such as Student Councils were discussed.

The third day of the convention was devoted to votes on: adoption of amendments to the statute which made the Convention historic due to the change in the name of the branch committee, support of Kewin Lewicki’s candidacy for PSRP chairman, and completion of the composition of the FUZ Presidium. We are pleased to announce that the Chairman of the Council of Student Government of the Mazovian Academy in Płock, Przemysław Wolski, was elected by the delegates as a member of the Presidium of the Forum of Professional Universities. The second part of the day was devoted to training on the basics of self-government, material aid for students and project management with elements of marketing. During the training sessions, the visiting Self-Governors acquired a lot of valuable knowledge by solving various Case Studies, but also preparing projects that they can implement at their own universities in the future. We are very pleased that the XXXVII Congress of the Forum of Vocational Universities could be held in Płock. We hope that the moments spent in our city and the knowledge acquired will bear fruit in the activities implemented for Students.
