08.12.2022
On December 7th, 2022, within the walls of the Mazovian Academy in Płock, at 28 Gałczyńskiego Street, the II edition of the scientific-practical Symposium „Institutional-Legal Aspects of Ensuring Internal Security” took place. This year’s meeting focused on the armed conflict in Ukraine and its impact on the security of Poland.
In the first part of the meeting, a debate took place regarding the contemporary perception of Poland’s security in the context of the war in Ukraine with the participation of dr. Hab. Wiesław Jasiński, dr. Hab. Jerzy Kosiński, dr. Hab. Ivan Monolatii, dr. inż. Remigiusz Wiśniewski, dr Patryk Tomaszewski, and moderated by dr Luiza Wyrębkowska, experts exchanged their opinions and views on the effectiveness of sanctions imposed on Russia, the conflict’s influence on energetic safety, cybersecurity and threats emerging in cyberspace.
In the second part, the invited experts delivered presentations concerning specific areas of security in the context of the war in Ukraine. The speakers addressed issues related to the migration of refugees from the war-affected areas, providing psychological support and assistance for refugees, critical infrastructure security, population protection systems, and aspects of „cyber warfare.”
The purpose of the event was to contribute to the scientific and expert discussion regarding the threats to Poland’s security posed by Russia’s aggression on the Ukraine. We believe that establishing a platform for discussions involving scientists, experts, representatives of services, and students has contributed to a broader perspective on this incredibly important and current aspect of national security.
