On Monday, January 16th, prof. dr hab. n. med. Maciej Słodki, the Rector of the Mazovian Academy in Płock, appointed dr hab. Mariola Głowacka, professor of the Mazovian Academy in Płock, to the position of Vice-Rector for the ds. Collegium Medicum.
The appointment took place during an official meeting of the authorities of the Mazovian Academy in Płock with Piotr Bromber, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Health, and Edyta Gadomska, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Staff Development, who visited the newly established Collegium Medicum. This organizational unit is responsible for educational and scientific activities in the field of medical sciences and health sciences. The Collegium Medicum comprises the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Prof. Mariola Głowacka has been working at the Mazovian Academy since 2010. She actively participated in the establishment and launch of nursing, cosmetology, obstetrics, and medical studies. Among her roles, she served as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. In June 2019, she obtained her habilitation degree. She is the first nurse in the Płock region and one of the few in the country to hold academic titles. In December 2019, Prof. Mariola Głowacka was appointed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education to the Polish Accreditation Committee for the term 2020-2023. She serves as the chair of the National Accreditation Council for Nursing and Midwifery Schools. On May 2022, she was appointed by the Minister of Health as the Chair of the Task Force for developing changes in the standards for educating nurses and midwives.
Prof. Mariola Głowacka is also a professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She works at the Ludwik Rydygier Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz (Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Basic Clinical Skills and Postgraduate Education for Nurses and Midwives).
